Fat on the brain

|

A British woman is suing Weight Watchers. It's probably not the first lawsuit W.W. has had to contend with, as litigious people who've experienced problems from following W.W. programs undoubtedly abound. This one, however, is different.

She's filing a class action suit on behalf of anyone who has ever lost weight on a W.W. program, and then gained it (or more) back again.

The rationale? "Diets don't work." And the weight loss industry knows this but is out to get your money from you anyway.

I can see it now: A fat man loses weight on a Weight Watcher's program, then pigs out at McDonalds and gains all his weight back. He sues Mickey D's for making him fat, and Weight Watcher's for not ensuring he stays slim.
