Emo

|

I have made a Decision: the emo look is blah. Not weird enough, as goth is, to catch my attention. Not funky enough, like punk. The statement just isn't.

But enough of that.

Emotions. The media painting standout females in emotional terms, either to make them seem heroic (Cindy Sheehan, Peace Mom), or make them seem pitiful and deranged (Cindy Sheehan, Peace Mom).

Is it fair? Is it good?

Women *do* tend to work more with emotion than not. While men are not above using emotional manipulation (fear is a good one, yes?) it's usually the woman who is either dismissed as being "too emotional" or "hormonal", or lauded for her clever application of emotion and appeal (Coulter, anyone)?

So is it unrealistic or unfair to note that?
