Mind Litter

[title idea stolen from Paula]

It didn't take long for me to tire of the "Bush Is The Anti-Christ" heavy breathing from the leftyloons, and it's taken less time for me to tire of the "Obama Is Evil" dribbling from the right wingnuts. They'll do what they do. We'll survive as we always survive. Life goes on as it will go on. Fuck sake.

Marriage -- wee discussion in facebook (under mah secret identity, to remain 'nymless) on being in favor of marriage or not, and why. Not just gay marriage, but marriage in general. I could write novels about it, but essentially I'm in favor of it for a variety of reasons. It's not for everybody, and I don't believe it has to last forever. The institution needs work. The "Marriage Between One Man/One Woman" peeps are morons.

In the "Way TMI" category, I have just scheduled my first-ever colonoscopy. I'm scared. Hold me!

If I thought my dogs would not tear it into shreds, I'd get a kitteh.

Don't think I mentioned here that I bought a MacBook. G'bye WinDoze.

My all time favorite color, dark blue, is giving way to deep sultry red and even pink. What's that all about?

Offices that have really long, convoluted telephone menu systems drive me nuts. You listen to the description of where the office is located in three languages, then the obligatory "please listen because some of our menu options have changed" and then a lengthy list of possible services, none of which seem to describe what you really need. I ended up pressing "0" and the thing hung up on me.

If your child is afraid of dogs, do not take your child for walkies to a park where people walk dogs, hello. If you do, then you should work to avoid the dogs, not yell at people who are quietly walking their dogs who happen to get "too close" to precious Lileah.

's'all.

My favorite colors reshuffle themselves from time to time, and in combos. Right now I'm really digging turquoise/purple, while other times it's more lime/turquoise. Every once in a while I have a yen for sunflower or hot pink. And I love a rich, chocolate brown. That's all for clothes though -- my car's dark blue, which is fine, not that I wouldn't take a pink Cadillac if they were giving 'em away.

I've whined incessantly about the same bums the leftyloons and the right wingnuts complain about and I, too, am tired. I even know that an op-ed has about the same effect as that butterfly in Tibet.

I keep hoping, though.

The reason we keep tilting at that windmill is that we may not survive as we always survive--our survival may be completely different and that scares the bejesus out of most everybody.

The Democratic "leadership" in the Vermont legislature says they have the votes to pass civil marriage.

Odd, that.

I thought any marriage sanctioned by the state was supposed to be civil.

I'm very, very glad I figured out rss enough to use Google reader so I don't miss these posts. Just what I needed at 1:48 in the a frutzin m. Thanks. :-)

Dark blue and a deep, sultry red are good. Pink is not. Bad as yellow, pink.

The marriage duscussion must be outside my little facebook venn diagram. I have so many opinions on that I could form a one-man debating society.

I cancelled my colonoscopy with various overbooking excuses but in truth I was creeped out. But I guess at our age it's the in thing. I wish I hadn't put it that way.

I see you and Heather found one another, Don! :-)
